Elana Johnson’s Possession blog tour [guest post+scavenger hunt giveaway!]

Okay, so today we're going to be talking about Gunner Jameson and Raine Hightower. They're the narrators of the second book in the Possession trilogy, Surrender. Writing Surrender was much easier than writing ABANDON. See, Surrender was a completely new set of characters, in a completely new place, with completely new challenges. It was almost like I didn't have to stick to anything I'd already written in Possession.

Gunner and Raine aren't matched, but they like each other. They live in the city of Freedom, and the entire book is dedicated to their growing attachment to each other as they work with a Resistance group of Insiders to fight the brainwashing government. As I finished writing the first draft of ABANDON, I realized that I had left Gunner and Raine almost completely out of it. And that probably wasn't a good idea. I mean, I'd spent a whole book on them! They were important players in the Resistance, and I needed to make sure their story got tied up just as neatly as Vi's, Jag's, and Zenn's. That's where the hard work came in. Sure, writing Surrender was easy. But making sure Possession fans and Surrender fans were both satisfied in ABANDON? Uh...

So lest you think that you won't find out what Gunner and Raine have in store, never fear! They are both present in ABANDON, and I hope readers will enjoy their journey, even if they don't get to see the end of the story through their eyes. Today's scavenger hunt can begin here!
