What happens when you're stalked by Death? You fall in love with him, of course.
Pagan Moore doesn't cheat Death, but instead, falls in love with him.
Seventeen year old Pagan Moore has seen souls her entire life. Once she realized the strangers she often saw walking through walls were not visible to anyone else, she started ignoring them. If she didn't let them know she could see them, then they left her alone. Until she stepped out of her car the first day of school and saw an incredibly sexy guy lounging on a picnic table, watching her with an amused smirk on his face. Problem is, she knows he's dead.
Not only does he not go away when she ignores him, but he does something none of the others have ever done. He speaks. Pagan is fascinated by the soul. What she doesn't realize is that her appointed time to die is drawing near and the wickedly beautiful soul she is falling in love with is not a soul at all.
He is Death and he's about to break all the rules.

I read ‘Existence’ in a whim...purely on ‘waiting time’. Finished it in about two days’ worth of waiting time (while waiting in the car, etc). Got it for free from Amazon a month ago, and it was basically the only thing I haven’t read that is on my phone...so...

Anyway. Abbi Glines had a bit of different writing style when it comes to writing paranormal novels, comparing it to her usual contemporary romance novels. Though, I can still see her “contemporary romance style” of writing whenever there are make out scenes. A forte maybe? Or a specific writing style.

The story. It was honestly a lot confusing at first. The story was clearer as the pages dropped in. I wasn’t in tune with the main character, Pagan. I hated the lying and most of all “treacheries” the girl was doing. And I really didn’t like her name. Reminds me of pagan idols, which are not sending positive vibes...She was really a madness in the making, and well, I just didn’t like her. Dank, on the other hand, was an okay guy..but also a confusing guy. Not really stating his purpose in the beginning..he has his reasons but still. There’s this other guys Leif, who I really had doubts from the start and was unsure of him. But he was really sweet and caring..

I don’t know but I hugely felt like that the story was thrown in together. But later on, admittedly, the story made sense and was way better on the second half. The ending was well put together though. I’m just glad the second part of the story got better. The writing in itself was okay. I was just not fond of the story per se.

Overall, if you’re an Abbi Glines fan (like me) and want to explore her paranormal writings, you might want to check out this series (as its the only paranormal series she has that is existing). But if you’re not an Abbi glines fan, and just want to read something paranormal, etc. I will really not recommend this one. Sorry, but yeah... I myself might not read the next books of this series. I did enjoy the book though :)
