Alibi was full of mystery all the way. This version has all four volumes wherein each volume is spoken from different POVs. Each person's account says something to the whole story. Everyone has their own reasons. Everyone has an alibi.
The intrigue of the story will always keep you on the edge. Everything was so scandalous! It has everything a crime suspense/thriller book has: secrets, lies and betrayal And that lingering thought of 'who is the real killer?' and the doubts of believing the person talking or not. Some parts were predictable though, but the writing is real good. The building of the story really made the reading worthwhile. The story actually reminds me of a TV show wherein everyone's looking for this girl and everything that happened lead to finding this girl but before that, many unexpected secrets were revealed. Except here in 'Alibi', the girl is already dead, and we're just looking for the killer. But all events that transpired led to the revelation of who the killer is and of course, it won't be exciting if it was revealed earlier. The suspects sure didn't appear like they were the one responsible for the death of sweet, kind but a girl full of dark secrets-Abigail. There were some mild only-for-adult kind of scenes but I'm sure if you're not comfortable with it, you can just skip ahead. I was disappointed to find no sweet romance stuff that I love but I kind of expected it since the premise gives us a dark vibe,lol. You will have your own favorite characters and you will hate other characters' guts.
Not everyone is not who they seem to be. Everybody has their secrets. And all of these led to one girl's death. The ending will either leave you hanging or banging your head. :)
