When Wendy Everly first discovers the truth about herself—that she’s a changeling switched at birth—she knows her life will never be the same. Now she’s about to learn that there’s more to the story…My Thoughts:
She shares a closer connection to her Vittra rivals than she ever imagined—and they’ll stop at nothing to lure her to their side. With the threat of war looming, her only hope of saving the Trylle is to master her magical powers—and marry an equally powerful royal. But that means walking away from Finn, her handsome bodyguard who’s strictly off limits…and Loki, a Vittra prince with whom she shares a growing attraction.
Torn between her heart and her people, between love and duty, Wendy must decide her fate. If she makes the wrong choice, she could lose everything, and everybody, she’s ever wanted…in both worlds.
It’s been so long since I read a trilogy series on 3-consecutive days straight! I only planned to read Switched earlier this week as part of my October Reading Challenge. Then I got stuck with the story, I needed to know what happens next. I promised to read only the first chapter of Torn, but as you are now reading my review, which means I read the entire book, as well as the last one too.
Anyway, the ending of Switched was when Wendy went back home! Yes, home as in to his brother Matt. That was really emotional, so I read more. In Torn, we begin with their emotional reunion and all the things that encompasses it. But the main story here can be reflected in the title “Torn”. Wendy is being pulled by two enemy tribes: Vittra and Trylle. She soon learns that her father is alive, and he is not what she thought she is. I personally loved Switched more than Torn, but the fact that “Torn” is where my fave character is introduced, it gives Torn lots of plus points. I am pertaining to “Loki”. From the moment I read his character, I liked him immediately! Instantaneous connection. ha!
“Torn” is full of revelations and I loved how Wendy was trying to be more...like generally speaking. She’s not settling into just being a ‘princess’ but she’s practicing responsibility. However, I didn’t like how everything was happening so fast without some sort of transition. One scene jumps into another. Not always though, but at some parts only.
Overall, I still liked ‘Torn’ and the ending finally made me decide to just finish the series! :)

I'm really interested in finishing these books. When I started "Switched", I was getting weary of the paranormal Princess Diaries themes - in a bunch of YA books.
