My Thoughts:

Finally, the last book, where I’m afraid, all things are on the end because we all know all things must come to some end. It’s funny how a story can keep one’s full wholehearted attention. Though I didn’t like some parts of how the book was written (the whole series in general), but it’s the story that gripped me.

In “Ascend”, Wendy is faced with two major decisions to make: First, to marry? Second, to declare war? And for a girl who just learned she was a troll four months ago, and to be faced with major problems? I think she handled it pretty well. It may sound too impossible (all the things that happened), but at the same time it isn’t. Anyway, Amanda Hocking saved the whole series with “Ascend”. I love how all things turned out. Especially who she ended up with. Things with Finn didn’t really feel natural from the very beginning. And Loki, well, he is “it” for me. I mean for Wendy. lol. Everything that happened has been leading to this moment. The plot twists were good, even if they were kind of expected. The building of the story was good, though I was a bit sad that the critical climax of the story was shorter than expected, but I was happy with it.

Overall, I just want to say I loved the series. I know I said I had some problems with how it was written, but those faults were covered by Loki, I mean, by the story. :)
