[Book Review] Frigid (Frigid #1) by J.Lynn

For twenty-one-year-old Sydney, being in love with Kyler isn't anything new. They'd been best friends ever since he pushed her down on the playground and she made him eat a mud pie. Somewhere over the years, she fell for him and fell hard. The big problem with that? Kyler puts the 'man' in man-whore. He's never stayed with a girl longer than a few nights, and with it being their last year in college, Syd doesn't want to risk their friendship by declaring her love.
Kyler has always put Syd on a pedestal that was too high for him to reach. To him, she's perfect and she's everything. But the feelings he has for her, he's always hidden away or focused on any other female. After all, Kyler will always be the poor boy from the wrong side of tracks, and Syd will always be the one girl he can never have.
But when they're stranded together at a posh ski resort due to a massive Nor'easter, there's nothing stopping their red-hot feelings for each other from coming to the surface. Can their friendship survive the attraction? Better yet, can they survive at all? Because as the snow falls, someone is stalking them, and this ski trip may be a life-changer in more ways than one.

There's nothing more perfect and more romantic than two bestfriends realizing they've been in love with each other for forever! Frigid has that common element of bffs falling in love but as usual Jennifer Armentrout delivers it in the most swoonful ways. I don't even know if swoonful is a word, but nevertheless this book was just what i needed to read this week! Nothing 200+ pages of swoonworthy and heart stopping, heart jumping words wouldn't fix in my oh so stressful life. With the right dose of laughtrips in this book, I promise you'll truly enjoy the story! Not too heavy on the heart but no too light to be forgotten minutes after reading it. I seriously don't know how J. Does it but eversince she released her first book, I was one of her avid fans already!

Gosh, I basically shoot out mouthful of praises on the last paragraph nothing's left for this second one. Haha! Anyway, this is J's first NA book I think, then this is from a new line from Spencer hill called spencer hill contemporary. There's no denying Spencer Hill is one of my fave publisher and I won't ever forget how they gave me my very first ARC :)

So, Frigid. The title was not only mentioned once or twice or thrice on the book, as a matter of fact it was mentioned like... uhm, countless of times! Frigid is about Sydney and Kyler, best friends, and in secretly in love with each other for years.. Problem with kyler was he recompensates his frustration of knowing that he'll never have Sydney to being a playboy. Sydney, on the other hand, is a sweet innocent kind of girl who Kyler always protects and she always stands aside watching Kyler go from one girl to another. It's a mess. They are. But one winter snowstorm got them stuck together in Kyler's vacation cabin for a couple of days and this was where and when things started to change. One confession to another bold honestly led to another...

This book was just full of laughter, embarrassing moments as well as swoonworthy eyebugging heart rolling scenes. :)

  1. Best friends turning into lovers IS my favorite romance set-up. It's just that, they have something familiar and then for that to change. I just love the dance wherein they realize they've been in love to each other FOREVER. And almost every blogger I know loved this one so I purchased it when it was on sale. Can't wait to read it too! Great review, Jenna! GAAAHHH, I want to read it NOW!
