Title: Suddenly Royal
Author: Nichole Chase

Samantha Rousseau is used to getting her hands dirty. Working toward a master’s degree in wildlife biology while helping take care of her sick father, she has no time for celebrity gossip, designer clothes, or lazy vacations. So when a duchess from the small country of Lilaria invites her to dinner, Samantha assumes it’s to discuss a donation for the program. The truth will change the course of her life in ways she never dreamed.
Alex D’Lynsal is trying to keep his name clean. As crown prince of Lilaria, he’s had his share of scandalous headlines, but the latest pictures have sent him packing to America and forced him to swear off women—especially women in the public eye. That is, until he meets Samantha Rousseau. She’s stubborn, feisty, and incredibly sexy. Not to mention heiress to an estate in his country, which makes her everyone’s front-page news.
While Sam tries to navigate the new world of politics and wealth, she will also have to dodge her growing feelings for Alex. Giving in to them means more than just falling in love; it would mean accepting the weight of an entire country on her shoulders.
I-I-I-I I liked it! It’s funny how I tend to ignore my growing tbr file (BUT now, seriously, I’ve made a list of what to read and I’m coping. haha) and suddenly read a novel that caught my eye just now. JUST, leave everything behind and read that book. Well, that’s how I read Suddenly Royal. It just had that quality of demanding to read it immediately (as in NOW). It was unputdownable and rather romantic and exciting read! I think it has more to do with me liking stories such as this, you know the princess diary-kind of stories (even if I haven’t read that series yet! on my tbr.) But this is more of on the mature side of things. There’s just something appealing on reading the journey of a normal American girl who turned out to be a royalty. If the medias ate it all up (in the story), I lapped even the last pint of sauce. Lol. It helps that Nichole Chase created such great and somewhat relatable but still out-there kinds of characters. The writing was exquisite too! I just love my moments of finding an awesome book by accident and finishing it overnight. I never regret these times, because these are the times when I’m reminded of why I love reading. It whisks you away into another dimension, another reality. Letting you live a very interesting life out of your boring one (not really boring but...habitual), even for just a few hours. I even chastise myself, even if its not my fault, on why I indie authors with great stories (such as this) that has a potential for greatness (that seems redundant but anyway) don’t invite me to read and review their book before the whole world does, haha. No pun intended to those indie authors who asked me to review their books before, but let’s admit it, some are good and even really great, but some are just...blah. Anyway, I will not prolong this review, as I’m writing it in the middle of the early morning and I still have work later. But, I totally recommend this book if you want to enjoy a read and want to be whisked away from this world (for a moment). There are mature scenes, but they are tolerable to read compared to others ;)
