If fate sent you an email, would you answer?
When teenage movie star Graham Larkin accidentally sends small town girl Ellie O'Neill an email about his pet pig, the two seventeen-year-olds strike up a witty and unforgettable correspondence, discussing everything under the sun, except for their names or backgrounds.
Then Graham finds out that Ellie's Maine hometown is the perfect location for his latest film, and he decides to take their relationship from online to in-person. But can a star as famous as Graham really start a relationship with an ordinary girl like Ellie? And why does Ellie want to avoid the media's spotlight at all costs?

My Thoughts:

I love reading stories about fate and love... And how, in the most impossible situations, we will always find love or things will end with love finding us.

"The Statistical Probability of love at First Sight" totally had those elements. I loved it to bits! One of my favorite reads last year. I never wanted to expect "This is What happy Looks like" to top that off or even level with it, but it actually did.

I liked how two people from the opposite parts of the world meet in the most unconventional but not a rarity method. Both sweet and sappy at the same time. But, hey! I'm a natural romantic. Anyway, in "This is What Happy Looks like", Graham met Ellie by accidentally sending her an email that was supposed to be sent to another person. That's where things began for them. What started out as an innocent and pleasant change of words ended up being something both of them needed.

I just. Sigh. Ugh! I hate it when i get so in love and attached with the characters, and you just wish your own love life was as appealing as theirs, lol. I love how jennifer E. Smith writes. It's not very simple, but she tells a meaningful story within the story. and each story is intricate and well thought off. Most of these stories I'm talking about were just memories from the past, but it makes me think of how shallow I am in my writing at times. Smith is the total opposite of me. Her words flow naturally and most importantly it's consistent. She creates such hopeful and positive novels that you can't help but love because they are just that-lovable. It just radiates the feels people!

Graham is a movie star, the kind that seem to be common nowadays. You know the ones getting famous for doing movie series? Yeah, those actors. Graham is one of them and in here, his life is reflected as to be most of the times 'lonely'. I love how he is the smart/geeky time who is also goodlooking and the kind that doesn't like partying and stuff. In short, my kind of guy. :) and so liking him was so effortless. Ellie, on the other hand is your kind of small town girl, who face the same challenes every middle class girl does. And she is pretty and smart too. I love how jennifer writes about characters qho are easily relatable and the kinds you can see around you...

The ending. I have mixed feelings with this. You know how we all want to read concrete HEAs? But, where her story begins with fate and love and all that jazz, she ends it realistically. As in, in life, we all have wonderfull and unique and sweet hellos and beginnings, but we can't always know our endings. And you know what? I still love it about this book.

Can a 5-star rating be more obvious? :))
