I truly missed reading a book in less than a day. It's the kind of reading that takes you miles away from where you are actually. It's been weeks since I've read a book that kept me up all night.

The Elite was certainly not what i expected it to be...I'm sauing that in a good way. Gosh, I can't even begin to tell youguys how much I love and adore this series. Something about the idea of 'the Selection' appeals to me. I don't even like watching the Bachelorette. But putting it in a dystopian world? Perfect!

The world Kiera Cass has created wasn't even that so impossible to imagine from where we are right now. I mean, there's poverty yes, but the kind of harsh and drastically depressing and not to mention impossible kind of dystopian world it is not. There are current wars or tensions, but other countries are still existing and there are no nature/earth collapsing kind of problems, pretty much we know that what must change is their country, Illea.

Second books in trilogies are supposed to be transition books and all things considered, I think this was a pretty good one. I've seen the whole picture, albeit for a peek only. I've seen the potential allies, the threats, also who the real menace can be. Most importantly, the MC, America, grew more matured here. She made mistakes. A lot of them. Some to the point of utter disbelief you'll probably want to tackle, heck even she wants to pull out her own hairs because of her own stupidity. But the one last act she did in the end, that was the turning point of all this. I certainly did not see that coming. On another note, Prince Maxon is just so. Sigh. I know it's kind of a cliché to have a swoonworthy prince character, but he just is. I'm not biased or anything, but as other reviews of fellow book bloggers have mentioned, I can totally understand why he did the thinngs he did. It does not justify his actions but when you stop to think about it, they make sense. All his patience and kindness..where can we find a guy like him? Lol.

With that, I leave you all the recommendation to read The Elite. If you haven't read the series yet, I suggest you do. If you're looking for a dystopian themed YA book, but don't want to witness too much killings and depression, but you want to read about glitters and
crowns too, well clearly this one is perfect for you!:)
