Allison Sekemoto has vowed to rescue her creator, Kanin, who is being held hostage and tortured by the psychotic vampire Sarren. The call of blood leads her back to the beginning—New Covington and the Fringe, and a vampire prince who wants her dead yet may become her wary ally.
Even as Allie faces shocking revelations and heartbreak like she’s never known, a new strain of the Red Lung virus that decimated humanity is rising to threaten human and vampire alike.

My Thoughts:

That was one hell of an adrenaline-filled, blood pumping, epic journey. Whoa. If you had any doubts Julie Kagawa couldn't write a good fantasy story, then let The Eternity Cure 'cure' those doubts because this novel just took epic in another level.

The story follows Allison/Allie after she was kicked out of Eden. Her main goal now is to look for her sire, Kanin, and help him from the hands of Sarren. Having her bond blood bond with him, it's her only way of knowing where to go, to where Kanin is, and well, she's running out of time. Kanin is on the verge of falling from sanity. But then, of course things don't go our way (if that's the case then the story won't be really exciting, wouldn't it?) this is what happens: she instead meets Jackal, her blood brother, somehow got into an agreement with him to search for a missing laboratory beneath the old capital DC, which I must mention is infested with thousands of rabids. Then they found themselves in New Covington, back to the place Allie swore never to return again. She also saw someone she never thought she'll see again. And lots of things happened after that, which I won't spoil to you otherwise you might not read the awesome book anymore, hehe. Let me just say how excruciatingly detailed their journey is which seemed to go for forever. BUT! It was painstakingly worthwhile to read.

What I most admire with Julie Kagawa's works is how she delves into the story, and how she brings her readers in deep to wherever the story goes. Se never fails to deliver an amazing bloodcurling adventures. From faeries to vampires, this woman does not fail. If you've read the Immortal Rules, then you should really read The Eternity Cure. Double the adventure, double the twist, double the kills, double the fun. Lol. Things are not what they seem. I just about died with the ending. It was oh-so good. :D
