Sawyer and Lana’s romance just got steamier in this exclusive eBook-only companion to the printed original that includes scandalous, heart-pounding scenes.
Getting a boy to fall head-over-heels in love with you isn’t easy. Especially when he’s been in love with your cousin for as long as you can remember.
Lana has lived her life in her cousin’s shadow. Ashton always made perfect grades, had tons of friends, and looks model-perfect. And she’s always had Sawyer Vincent—the only boy Lana’s ever wanted—wrapped around her finger. But now things are different. Lana has a chance to make Sawyer see her, and she’s taking it. If only he’d get over Ashton—because Lana is sick of second-best.
Sawyer’s heart is broken. He’s lost his best girl to his best friend. And then Lana comes to town. Ashton’s cousin has always been sweet and soft-spoken, but now she’s drop-dead gorgeous as well. Sawyer doesn’t know if Lana can heal his broken heart, but spending time with her might at least make Ashton jealous.
What starts as a carefree fling becomes a lusty game of seduction. Sawyer and Lana may have different motives, but their scintillating hookups are the same kind of steamy. . . .
My Thoughts:
Liked it better than the first. :)
It's no secret that I like Sawyer better than Beau, even from the very very start of this whole situation. And just reading from Sawyer's point of view, and how he describes his pain, even afer 6 months, it just breaks my heart too. I hate it more whenever Beau or Ash always assume that Sawyer and Ash' relationship was kind of a front or something. but the truth is Sawyer did love her. Because hello? If it wasn't really love then why does he still hurt 6 months after?
Meeting Lana, the changed Lana, was a breath of fresh air for Sawyer. I was really happy for him that he is finally moving on. Or trying to at least. I especially love the part where he had the last piece of Ash let go. It was a big big relief. I just don't know how to react that some of the characters in the book kind of ewuate lust wi love, because that's where Sawyer and Lana started. It's a bit unnerving but I get Beau's point. (Okay, I just said who that character was, lol). But even Sawyer admitted that he did not at all feel any of that with Ash, whatever feeling he had with Lana. I like what Beau said , something like " “Cause although you loved Ash, she wasn’t the one. When you fall for the one that owns you, she’ll be the only one that has the power to make you cry.” " and boy did Lana's absence madd him cry. Sawyer was really really more attractive when he was vulnerable.
Let's go to Lana's perspective. Having loved someone for so long and finally having a chance to get him to notice you is not something I have the guts to do. The changing/makeover thing was such a huge step for Lana. And her being always the second choice in everyone's life is really heartbreaking. For her mother, father, friends, her love life. Individually, Sawyer and Lana were "innocent", but together they were a hurricane of raging hormones. The sensual content is not for minors, seriously. Though they did not do it, but the specific and intricate descriptions of the things they did was not for minors.
Why do I like this better than the first? Apart from this being Sawyer's story? It's also more of Lana's. Because Sawyer has always been Lana's dream, and for at guy to finally for you is just awesome. :)
I just read both of these books over the weekend and I agree with you, I liked this book better. I felt like there was much more feeling in this book than the first.
