Guest Post from Cindi Madsen
I’m so happy to be here at Coffee Books and Me to celebrate my new release ALL THE BROKEN PIECES! Music is something that always really resonates with me. It sets a mood and provides inspiration. So I’d like to share my playlist for All the Broken Pieces. Since Liv doesn’t remember anything from before the wreck, Spencer’s helping her figure out what kind of music she likes. They have similar tastes, and then there are a few that they don’t agree on. I’m always sad when someone doesn’t like a song I love, and feel the need to explain why they should love it. Anyway, you can find my playlist at: http://cindimadsen.com/Music.html) In addition to music and movies, Spencer and Liv make a list of things she needs to experience to make up for everything she can’t remember, so I thought I’d make a list of things I’d like to experience.
- Take a trip to Europe
- Attend a Pink concert
- Attend a 30 Seconds to Mars concert
- Take a trip to New York
- Meet my closest tweeps & author friends (I plan on meeting several at Romantic Times)
- Make a bestseller list
- Learn to play the drums
- Learn to Tango
- Take a hot air balloon ride (I can cross this off, because I rode one with my sister. It’s one of those crazy stories that makes us break into laughter)
So, what are some of the things you want to experience? Anything you’ve gotten to check off?
- Own a Dodge Challenger (plum crazy for the color, because I LOVE purple)
Check out what the book is about! :)

What if your life wasn’t your own?
Liv comes out of a coma with no memory of her past and two distinct, warring voices inside her head. Nothing, not even her reflection, seems familiar. As she stumbles through her junior year, the voices get louder, insisting she please the popular group while simultaneously despising them. But when Liv starts hanging around with Spencer, whose own mysterious past also has him on the fringe, life feels complete for the first time in, well, as long as she can remember.
Liv knows the details of the car accident that put her in the coma, but as the voices invade her dreams, and her dreams start feeling like memories, she and Spencer seek out answers. Yet the deeper they dig, the less things make sense. Can Liv rebuild the pieces of her broken past, when it means questioning not just who she is, but what she is?
"Kept me guessing and frantically flipping the pages. A unique story I couldn't help but fall in love with." -- Nyrae Dawn, author of Charade
"[An] interesting story of a girl who can't remember her early life…Liv's high school relationships, especially her conflicts with the popular girls and her first dealings with romance, ring nicely true. Intriguing." – Kirkus Reviews

Cindi Madsen sits at her computer every chance she gets, plotting revising, and falling in love with her characters. Sometimes it makes her a crazy person. Without it, she’d be even crazier. She has way too many shoes, but can always find a reason to buy a new pretty pair, especially if they’re sparkly, colorful, or super tall. She loves music, dancing, and wishes summer lasted all year long. She lives in Colorado (where summer is most definitely NOT all year long) with her husband and three children.
Great guest post. I really enjoy this book....
