Get seduced by a sizzling account of attraction and betrayal in this previously self-published phenomenon. There was something wicked about Beau that drew me to him. What was wrong with me? Why did I want to sin so badly? Ashton is getting tired of being good, of impressing her parents and playing ideal girlfriend to Sawyer Vincent. Sawyer is perfect, a regular Prince Charming, but when he leaves town for the summer, it’s his cousin Beau who catches Ashton’s eye. Beau is the sexiest guy she’s ever seen, and even though he’s dangerous, Ashton is drawn to him. Beau loves his cousin like a brother, so the last thing he wants to do is make a move on Sawyer’s girl. Ashton is off-limits, absolutely. That’s why he does his best to keep his distance, even though he’s been in love with her forever. When Ashton wants to rekindle their childhood friendship in Sawyer’s absence, Beau knows he should say no. Ashton and Beau don’t want to hurt Sawyer. But the more they try to stay away from each other, the more intense their urges become. It’s getting way too hard to resist...(goodreads)My Review:
I have read so much gushes about this book for the past few months. Due to my massive and ever-increasing TBR file, after I’ve read the synopsis and the reviews, I just forgot about it. Until I was invited to be part of the blog tour. Then I checked it out again and remembered it somehow. So of course, naturally, I joined the tour. :) Another fun fact is that while in my room, my friend Assel saw the book in my bed (I was still in the first few pages of the book) and told me that the book was really good, and the ending will shock me on who will give way.
Now you know that I was really excited to read the book. I crossed my fingers and hoped that I wouldn’t experience too much heart ache on this one. But of course, being the emotional me, I still did. You’ve read from the synopsis that this book is a love triangle (and boy do I love them!). Ashton has always been best friends to the cousins Beau and Sawyer. Beau and Ashton were like the mini Bonnie and Clyde, partners in crime. And Sawyer was always the one who got them out of trouble. Everything changed when they turned fourteen. Ashton became Sawyer’s girlfriend. Through the years, bad Ashton became the good Ashton, just fitting as she’s a preacher’s daughter. Beau and Ashton’s interaction? almost subzero.
The novel started where Sawyer went away for summer vacation and eventually Ashton and Beau rekindled their friendship. I actually like how direct to the point the story was. It immediately delved into the story where the author wants us to begin reading. No more nifty and unnecessary gritty details beforehand. I also appreciated the book more because it was previously self-published and I just love hearing successful stories the like of that. Anyway, the story wasn’t really uncommon. There wasn’t really too much shocking moments in the book. Well, except the last part maybe. I’m still trying to piece together the possible reason why it’s well-loved by many people. I like the book, but what was really in it that captured the hearts of many readers? I think it has a lot to do with the interesting love triangle, and the very appealing characters. I normally like the bad boys in fiction but here, I love Sawyer more than Beau. Don’t make me mention Ashton. But since we’re already talking about her, let me just say I’m not a fan. I didn’t like how she tried to blame her "trying to be the perfect girl” to Sawyer a. Because hello? In the very first place it was her choice to do so. And a bit spoiler here, Sawyer was right when he told her that when they were 14, he asked her to be his girlfriend knowing her “bad” side too. I hated how close-minded Ashton was regarding this fact. But I was contented when she admitted that she chose the wrong Vincent boy from the very start. Because that’s what really happened. I can see how Sawyer and Ashton weren’t really going to last, because Ash wasn’t being true to herself. It hurts, yeah, for all of them, but I was glad it ended how it did.
It doesn’t mean though that I don’t want to read the next book, The Vincent Brothers, because I do! I want to read more about Sawyer. If his story wasn’t done yet, nothing will ever make sense. Lol. Oh my gosh, I just realized I wrote a pretty long review here, it’s been quite a while since I did. Anyway, would I recommend The Vincent Boys? Heck, yes.

One of my favorite books! So glad you enjoyed it!
