My Thoughts:

Ever since Catching Jordan, I liked Miranda Kenneally and have waited for her next books. So, when I heard that there would be more books that'll take place in Hundred Oaks. Yey!

I like how raw and honest Miranda's characters are. I can actually see a pattern on her books' stories. One example is the plot. She'll make you believe that the guy the MC will end up is the main guy she'll focus the story in in the beginning. In Stealing Parker, I immediately knew whom she'll end up with, and no it's not the best friend. Anyway, the Fake guy is really real and has also his own issues that are no joke. But you know in real life we really don't know who we end up with even if the first guy's nice. Second, the sports. I love how she incorporates the sports. In stealing Parker, it's baseball/softball. And lastly, the covers: they're green. Okay, the last one was so shallow,lol.

What hit me in Stealing Parker is the issue where There are hypocrite Christians. I'm a Christian and it's sad but it's also true that there are some people who are so judgmental and they just ruin Christ's name especially for people who don't know Him yet. So sad. I know this is just fiction but in real life, I also know some friends who experience these kinds of prejudices and bullies. Even Jesus himself wasn't judgmental. He loved all especially the sinners. Anyway, I love how Miranda Kenneally wasn't at all preachy, but I like the prayers Parker has every now and then, written and burnt. 

Stealing Parker involved more sensitive issues but the story was still entertaining. I enjoyed reading it at the same time I learned some important values too. :)
