available NOW at: Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk

My Thoughts:

In this short script by Vanessa Morgan, we read about a guy who is actually a womanizer driving with his new GPS device. But there’s a twist in the short story that will make you raise your eyebrow and make you laugh in the end..well, at least that was my reaction.

Short as it is but I think we can pick up a lesson or two from the script. I personally can’t wait to see the short film. :)

GPS with Benefits
by Vanessa Morgan

Thank you for having me on your blog today. I'm truly honored to be here with all of you!
How many people do you know that make jokes about their GPS device or even talk to it?
Nearly everyone, right?
GPS devices know where you are and how fast you are driving. Who says that, in the near future, they won't be able to know you look at and what you say.
These thoughts form the basis of my new release, GPS WITH BENEFITS, in which a womanizer purchases a new GPS device, not knowing that it has a mind of 'her' own.
"The inspiration for GPS WITH BENEFITS came to me when I was in the car with a friend," Vanessa says. "We made jokes about the GPS device and imagined what it would be like if the GPS was actually aware of what the driver was thinking. I immediately knew that these ideas could be turned into a hilarious story."
I won't reveal more, but GPS WITH BENEFITS has some twists and turns that you won't see coming and that will have you laughing out loud.

Your turn... What's the weirdest or funniest thing a GPS has ever done to you?

  1. It didn't happen to me, but it happened to my mom on the way to Houston to pick me up from the airport...She was on the freeway & it had her driving into oncoming traffic!! She couldn't have been the first as there was a car crash in front of her where the other person had also driven into oncoming traffic!!

  3. My family decided to try a new route because there was a newly built bridge that would make the commute faster. We got lost and figured we'd plug in our address to lead us the right way and it ended making us go in a circle around a river. We noticed after the third go around and it wasn't that funny because it was raining and we were low on gas. We ended up turning off the GPS and going straight where after a while there was a gas station, thankfully.

  4. I was searching for the place to get the water turned on at our new house. I put the address in the GPS and it took me 15 miles away from where I was supposed to be and tried to make me turn down a dirt road into someone's field.

  5. I was trying to get to a friend's house who lives about 6 minutes away from me, but even though I typed southwest into the GPS it decided to take me to northwest - which means I was driving around at night in one of the sketchiest neighborhoods in town which of course did not have street lights. I am convinced it was mad at me for some reason that I have yet to figure out what is.
