My Thoughts:

There were times during the first pages of reading Point of Retreat that I was saying 'I wish there's no book 2' because Slammed was already good, if not perfect and I don't want to ruin it. Although there were good twists that were happening in PoR but I felt it was not as heavy as it was in Slammed. I really hated myself for comparing the two books but I couldn't help it. Then I realized that the main problem the characters had in book 2 was essential to the whole story, because not all relationships are perfect.

There were two main plot twist in the book and I'm not about to share it. But I'm gonna say this. I was cowering with fear at the first one. That I almost did not want to read further because I knew what was going to happen, I saw it coming. When that passed on, I was relieved that I read it. But then I saw there were still lots of pages left and I was like " nooo! What could possibly still happen??". Then the event came andthis time I really didn't want to read anymore, I was crying like crazy. Actually it was something between a whimper and a cringe. Anyway, heavy drama involved. But fear not guys, the ending was satisfying. :)
And I'm glad I read it.
