Jacinda was supposed to bond with Cassian, the "prince" of their pride. But she resisted long before she fell in love with Will—a human and, worse, a hunter. When she ran away with Will, it ended in disaster, with Cassian's sister, Miram, captured. Weighed down by guilt, Jacinda knows she must rescue her to set things right. Yet to do so she will have to venture deep into the heart of enemy territory.
The only way Jacinda can reach Miram is by posing as a prisoner herself, though once she assumes that disguise, things quickly spiral out of her control. As she learns more about her captors, she realizes that even if Will and Cassian can carry out their part of the plan, there's no guarantee they'll all make it out alive. But what Jacinda never could have foreseen is that escaping would be only the beginning....
Loyalties are tested and sacrifices made in the explosive conclusion to Sophie Jordan's Firelight trilogy.(goodreads)
My Thoughts:

Wow. And just like that I'm done. The series is finished. Mixed emotions here.

I am happy with how the ending turned out. I am Team Cassian, but I understand the ending. All the more because I know from the very start that Jacinda is not playing with any of us, she's true to her real feelings. And it would be a no-fairytale ending if she won't end up getting her happily ever after, don't you think?

Hidden is a fast-paced and thrilling series-ender, from the very first page. It's action next to action. Quite thrilling and mind-numbing. At least my mind did. I had to stop halfway and rest a bit after suffering some emotional stress. Semi-spoiler: someone was thought to have died, but relief washed over me when that person came out unscathed, but I kind of new that character still lived. Still, with these novles, we can only but keep on guessing, until proven right, haha. It's also kind of realistic, given that drakis do exist. The ending was not auper epic world-altering. Hunters and Drakis will forever be chasing each other, just like a mouse and cat will. But the main story was resolved, and that makes all the difference. I'm also kind of proud with the maturity the characters developed. A far cry from their past selves from Firelight (book one). Jacinda rose above her predicaments and still managed to make difficult decisions despite her fears and risking her happy ending again, though I still hated her in some parts of the story. Always for the same reasons. But what surprised me the most is who stood out for me in Hidden- Will. His character is just full of understanding and patience even if he's in pain. He constantly needs to set aside his self for Jacinda. If only guys were like him, we'll get rid of jerks off the face of the earth, lol.  He listens. Yes, that's the word. And that makes a lot of difference. But he know when to also act for himself. Then there's Tamra, who is sort of amazing here. There are also new characters you will like and get irritated with. Lastly, there's Cassian. I will forever love him! He was such a hero and so brave here. Sigh.

Riveting and Engaging. This final book in the Firelight series is such a fiiine novel. I experienced some high and lows, but in the end I was happy.
