We all want to be remembered. Charlotte's destiny is to be Forgotten...
Charlotte’s best friend thinks Charlotte might be psychic. Her boyfriend thinks she’s cheating on him. But Charlotte knows what’s really wrong: She is one of the Forgotten, a kind of angel on earth, who feels the Need—a powerful, uncontrollable draw to help someone, usually a stranger.
But Charlotte never wanted this responsibility. What she wants is to help her best friend, whose life is spiraling out of control. She wants to lie in her boyfriend's arms forever. But as the Need grows stronger, it begins to take a dangerous toll on Charlotte. And who she was, is, and will become--her mark on this earth, her very existence--is in jeopardy of disappearing completely.
Charlotte will be forced to choose: Should she embrace her fate as a Forgotten, a fate that promises to rip her from the lives of those she loves forever? Or is she willing to fight against her destiny--no matter how dark the consequences.
My Thoughts:

Seriously, I don’t know why this novel was standing aside ignored on my ebook shelf for more than a year! Anyhoo, I’m really trying my best to read every book I have. :)

Oh boy, what a fast and golden read this book was! I love how the novel started right in the heart of the story. Charlotte has already felt the “needs” since she was a child, only now it’s growing more urgent and the pain it brings is stronger. Everything happened so fast, and I love how the author set the pace. She already has a love interest, with Harlin, and their relationship is real and genuine. So, when she finally learns her true identity (well, sort of), embracing it is really a challenge. I really love how straight to the point the story is. With no excess side stories, or any additional zigzag perks hanging limply on the main story, I just purely enjoyed the ride- that is Charlotte’s life!

It was kinda poignant and touching. To learn that everyone will soon forget about you (not just die perse, but also be forgotten), that’s just a reason to be depressed. I quite admire how Charlotte handled it in the end. Really, I can’t believe I just read this story now. The plot was really unique and original. The writing was good, and the story was fast paced.
