Starting over sucks.
When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I’d pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring…. until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.
And then he opened his mouth.
Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something…unexpected happens.
The hot alien living next door marks me.
You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon’s touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.
If I don’t kill him first, that is.
My Thoughts:
What an awesome read! Certainly new and brought a whole new kind of excitement through me. What with the most original story I've read in months and never ending action and thrill in every chapter. There was never a dull moment. It's hard not to fall into...
The endless banters between Kat and Daemon is just so cute and entertaining! I haven’t read for a very long time couples in books who tease and fights the way they do. Sometimes the insults go way overboard, but heck it’s still funny. The friendship between Dee and Kat is also adorable. The alien thing is not such a common topic/genre and the creativeness&awesomeness of the story is a bonus add! I won’t tell much of the story except that there’s an alien, both good and bad, steamy scenes and lots of funny moments, sometimes I wonder if this is a serious paranormal book or a comedy? lols. I truly enjoyed reading this one, and I can’t wait for the next book. (The ending literally left me wanting for more!)
