After their beautiful yet brief bonding ceremony in Italy, Schuyler Van Alen and Jack Force are forced to separate. To fulfill the Van Alen Legacy, Schuyler travels to Alexandria to search for Catherine of Siena and the Gate of Promise. But Schuyler quickly discovers that everything she believed about the Gate to be wrong. Meanwhile, Jack makes the difficult decision to return to New York to face his twin and former bondmate, Mimi. But instead of a bitter reunion, he is faced with a choice for which there is no good option.
Mimi, with a most unexpected travel companion in Oliver Hazard-Perry, jets off to Egypt, too, to search for Kingsley Martin, her long lost love. With all roads leading to Hell, Mimi learns that not all love stories have happy endings. But she'll have to put her own feelings aside if she's going to save her crumbling Coven.
Packed with heartache, twists, and vampiric folklore, Lost in Time is sure to satisfy hungry fans' cravings for more Blue Bloods adventure.

My Thoughts:
There were good and bad times in this book. It was somehow lacking at the same time it was complete. Something was off but in the end I understood what the fuss was all about. I love how the story was told from the 3rd person’s POV, and with the alternate scenes from Jack & Schuyler’s situation, Mimi & Oliver’s adventure, and Charles & Allegra’s story. It was like watching a TV drama, with the way scenes changed. Among the three, I loved and anticipated more of Charles & Allegra’s story. It’s kinda ironic actually, I knew what the ending was for them, but I found much more thrill on knowing what really went wrong. Now that’s done (I learned what really happened), I’m content.
I forgot how serious Blue Blood series was written. I honestly didn’t expect much formality in telling a story. It was a bit of a change for me, but I got used to it. The only thing I remembered is how I get fuzzy inside and I got it from Blue Bloods to find the endearment “My Love” sweet and romantic and real true. I should have known that endearment was my hint to be reminded this one’s a serious novel. :) I love the prospect of knowing that that serious kind of love with the sacrifice-involving thing exists on teenagers in this novel. Well, teenagers who don’t seem to be teenagers with the kind of responsibility they hold. Everyone grew up to be more mature and smarter than from the first book. I’m like a mother being proud of her young ones. haha. I’m so proud of bitchy Mimi. She still had some of her mean thing going on but it all came right through in the end. Aaah. The way everyone’s being so sacrificial about their lives make me want to cry! gaah. However, I have to say that I actually said when I was only pages before the end that “oh, this was it? not much information keeled?”. I was about to deem this book an “unnecessary accessory and passageway” before the last installment. But heck I was wrong. The wrap up of the last three chapters (each chapter is really short) were mind openers. The revelations was there all along, it wasn’t delivered to me full blown that might have shocked my system. It wasn’t a sudden pour, instead there was a drizzle of information all throughout the story, but the end uncovered the real answers in a very very elegant and beautiful manner. What a twist! The epilogue was such a great ending to Charles & Allegra’s story. really beautiful. I’m appalled to how this was crafted, best one so far (in the series). The action was there, romance, friendship, sacrifices. I honestly thought everything was going bad, but I’m so glad Mimi & Jack didn’t kill each other and Oliver wasn’t left behind down below hahaha.
I will not say “epicness” but this was really a good and beautiful read. nice!
