Book Review: The Trouble with Flirting by Claire Lazebnik

Title: The Trouble with Flirting
Author: Claire Lazebnik
Publisher: HarperTeen
Expected Publication: February 26, 2013
Source: own copy

Franny's supposed to be working this summer, not flirting. But you can't blame her when guys like Alex and Harry are around. . . .

Franny Pearson never dreamed she'd be attending the prestigious Mansfield Summer Theater Program. And she's not, exactly. She's working for her aunt, the resident costume designer. But sewing her fingers to the bone does give her an opportunity to spend time with her crush, Alex Braverman. If only he were as taken with the girl hemming his trousers as he is with his new leading lady.

When Harry Cartwright, a notorious flirt, shows more than a friendly interest in Franny, she figures it can't hurt to have a little fun. But as their breezy romance grows more complicated, can Franny keep pretending that Harry is just a carefree fling? And why is Alex suddenly giving her those deep, meaningful looks? In this charming tale of mixed messages and romantic near-misses, one thing is clear: Flirting might be more trouble than Franny ever expected.

My Thoughts:

A fun, awesome read! I certainly loved it! The story is the kind where you expect the story this way but then itnshocks you because somewhere along the story it veers of to another direction you did not expect it to be.

A sweet sweet and fast read that will leave you tingling for more. I just. Aah! Hahaha. I don't know what's with the book but I've read Epic Fail by Claire Lazebnik while I was enduring and going through a tough time (my dad died) and then now something in relation to that previous sad event happened a few days ago, while I was about to read The Trouble with Flirting, and as usual, the fun novel helped me get through with. Here's just something uplifting with the novel, I guess. It's not a useless and throwaway kind of story. It does get deeper at times, and things will keep you on your toes guessing for who's really with who, and what's serious or not, and all those kinds of things. It also helps that I totally love Harry in the book. He's the kind of book character I adore, teehee. Plus reading from Franny's pov is such a treat. She has a mind of a smart talker. There's just something about those sarcasm tweeks that appeals to me,lol.

The ending will again leave you wanting to know more of what will happen, but still the ending was well. I guess I just want more. :)
