My rating: 5 of 5 stars!
Being connected to Daemon Black sucks…
Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarre connection. I’ve sworn him off even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But against all common sense, I’m falling for him. Hard.
Our relationship issues aren’t out biggest problem…
The Department of Defense is here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we’re linked, I’m a goner. So is he. And when a new boy shows up a school with a secret of his own, things get complicated fast. I need to choose between my own instincts and Daemon’s.
But then everything changes…
I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. Daemon’s never going to stop searching until gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?
No one is who they seem. And not everyone will survive the lies
MY THOUGHTS:

*I’m so pissed off the review I just made was not saved because of the awful internet connection! poof! all gone! sigh. but because I loved this book so much I’ll make another review with the same enthusiasm as before*
If only I could give a 100-star rating to this book I would’ve but a flat out 5-star can do the justice, that’s the max I can give anyway. When I got home from a camp tired and drained, I checked out my email quickly and found out I won an ARC of Onyx, I couldn’t help but do a quick happy dance in front of my friends! All my weariness seemed to fade away in an instant!
Honestly, I was worried I wouldn’t love Onyx the same as I loved Obsidian. It was just not possible that Obsidian can be topped of, but Jennifer Armentrout not only maintained the level of excitement I had while reading Onyx, it was doubled, tripled over! I don’t know how she did it but I don’t care because she did and that makes her super awesome! I can’t even explain right why I fell in love with Obsidian, and it’s the same with Onyx. I cannot really point out the exact reason why it is EPIC. Katy and DAemon? Daemon only? or the fact that the story itself is so unique that the whole package is made of awesome? Maybe all. but whatever. IN a book blogging-related topic, that’s one thing I loved in this book! Katy is a book blogger and it shows how we are much like her, books strewn everywhere, the book reviewing, etc. Plus the In My Mailbox special participation of Daemon must be one of my fave scenes, you have to watch out for that!
Katy and Daemon hit it on again! Their endless and hilarious banters are so entertaining I literally laugh out loud most of the time. Daemon is showing off his sweet side and we see a lot of him that he practically guarded his life with in Obsidian. His thoughtfulness almost choked me to bits and bawl like a baby. We all know how awesome he is in Obsidian, but it turns out it’s not even a quarter of what he is capable of. Katy, on the other hand has a huge leap in her character development! But that’s not until later on on the book. In the beginning she was more of the in denial mood with Daemon (both of how she and he feels). I get it that she was protecting herself, and it’s actually understandable. I hate it when other stories get pretty fast with the characters, so the slowness of their romance is much more acceptable and reality-bound, and I like it. And there is a new character that will try to shake some tension in the story! Better hold fast everyone. Plus! There are some characters whose presence will grip your heart and disturb your mind until you can’t think properly anymore! haha.
The story’s plot is oh-so awesome I nearly had a heart attack! Jennifer made it so heart-gripping, mind-boggling, plus the steamy, as well as witty scenes from Katy and Daemon is full of static and the energy they emit would have been enough to supply the Titanic and probably prevented it from sinking! Seriously! I’ll tell you I did not expect the things that happened in the book. At times I thought the book is so long (400+ pages) and after reading a funny and sappy scene I don’t believe there’s another one in sight but then I am shocked to find myself laughing at another scene. Or when there’s a very poignant scene and it’s so sad I cry and I convince myself there won’t be anymore coming but there is! It’s all roller coaster ride in there! Have you seen an ECG graph/tracing? The erratic lines from a PVC or heart attack can describe the way the scenes and things happened in Onyx.
I don’t even want to finish my review but I have too! What else can I say other than Onyx is super worth it!

:) :) :) :) :) 5 SMILEYS for you!
