Hello readers, it’s not unusual for me to post a movie review every now and then. At first I told myself I’d write a movie review to every movie I watched from the time I started blogging, but that just didn’t happen. Lol.
So anyway, I had to make a review with Hunger games since it’s such a big franchise, and it’s one of my favorite books. In fact, it’s the first dystopian book I’ve read, and because of it, I fell in love with dystopian.
The movie. It was amazing. Not in an exaggerated way, but it was really amazing. I will list why:
1. it wasn’t disappointing. judging from a “book-to-movie” adaption. I know there are many books made to movies that are disappointing when it comes alive on screen, but this certainly did not. And for that matter, i will buy the dvd, haha.
2. it stuck most to the book’s story
3. the actors were fitting. as in everyone! I’m in love with Alexander Ludwig. Even if he is Cato, I was just always gushing when his face flashes in the screen :)
4. the acting. Jennifer Lawrence was really good! I can feel every emotion was genuine. Each reaction and each scene with her on it was just satisfying to watch because she’s that good. She is Katniss. Josh on the other hand was unexpectedly right for Peeta. At first I was doubtful of him, but after watching the film I can really say he is Peeta. He lives and breathes the character. The other characters were also good. I didn’t expect Haymitch to become endearing to me. I love him!!! :)
5. the costumes. gosh! just gosh! it was what I’ve always imagined. Some clothes (of the people in the Capitol) I really liked, like liked as in to wear. Some were not wearable in today’s society, but was acceptable in their world. And the fiery parade costume by Cinna was freaking awesome! It was one of those things I was excited to see in the movie, and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
6. The story. Well, I know the story and how things were really going to go, but the excitement and hype were still there. Plus I didn’t reread the book before watching the film (I was so busy) and my friend (also a Hunger games series fan) and I were always whispering to each other what’s going to happen next, etc. Anyway, the point is the movie was greatly made because even if we know what’s going to happen, but still, it’s heart-pounding, mind-boggling, mysterious and exciting! It makes me want to watch the next one already! (currently, I can reread the next book, haha).
Overall, the only thing I didn’t like when I watched the movie were the girls who sat a couple of seats in front of us who always ALWAYS reacted wrongly, let me repeat that--WRONGLY--on the scenes. It was making me furious because they were so wrong, and they giggled whenever Josh’s funny face came on. Anyway, the entire MOVIE was that good that I ignored them and focused on the screen instead. Right now, I want to watch it again. It’s so ADDICTING. so what are you waiting for? watch it! :)

Wait a second...how did you get to see it before it came out?? I want to see it so badly, but I don't get to see it for a few weeks :(
