and so yeah, I watched it this morning and let me just say I’m still not over it! It’s freaking AWESOME! AMAZING! all those things. Being a Twilight fan is not even a factor here, well okay maybe it was but I’m gonna talk about the story and the technicalities.
Bill Condon moved the Twilight Saga series up on the notch by doing it so much differently. It was more explicit and there were many “views” and “angles” we’ve certainly never seen before. Like there were hallucinations, visions, we can see inside the wolves’ mind and we can experience what they’re like when they talk, there was definitely more blood than the last 3 films, there’s a pile of corpse, wow, it was like pushing the PG13 to it’s limits. Morbid it was, yes, but I absolutely loved it! There were moments where I can’t help but comment “Dude, it’s horror!” Yup! The birth scene was freaking awesome and cool but it was also scary! I was so sure I felt Bella’s birth pains! Plus Bella’s anorexic figure just did it! It was so disturbing I was revolting every single time her uber thin face and body was shown. The fight scenes that weren’t in the book but was added in the movie was a super cool move, I wasn’t worried about it. Ooh, I love the “House MD” kinda funk added to the “vampiric change” of Bella. The imprinting moment of Jacob to Renesmee vice versa was cute, I like the face of the teenage Renesmee, she’s so beautiful, and now I’m getting epiphanies of their future (and now I want a book with Jacob and Renesmee as the main characters, well wishful thinking anyway,lol). And gosh, I have to just mention the wedding scene everyone’s waiting for! The Cullen’s place was turned into a whirlwind of romance kinda place! I love the flowers, there were so many I can literally drown with them! Bella’s gown was extremely exquisitely fantastic! The bodice was beautiful and the lace at the back was just as pretty. Sigh. I’m just so happy right now. ELATEd, even!....To end this review, I would like to say that the movie truly exceeded my expectations, I super love it and I want to watch it again! I can’t judge well if I’m to say which is the best movie among the installments so far (because my opinion might be tampered because I just watched Breaking Dawn).

ReplyDeleteThe honeymoon nights where Bella tried to seduce Edward ws funny as well. Owhh..I totally agree with your review. Anyhow I was expecting the scene in which Rosalie throws Jacob 'plate' which she 'moulded' from a piaece of in or something like that.. Quite disappointed that they didn't include that in.
