Title: Shades of Earth

The final book in the  New York Times bestselling trilogy, perfect for fans of Battlestar Galactica and Prometheus!
Amy and Elder have finally left the oppressive walls of the spaceship Godspeed behind. They're ready to start life afresh--to build a home--on Centauri-Earth, the planet that Amy has traveled 25 trillion miles across the universe to experience.
But this new Earth isn't the paradise Amy had been hoping for. There are giant pterodactyl-like birds, purple flowers with mind-numbing toxins, and mysterious, unexplained ruins that hold more secrets than their stone walls first let on. The biggest secret of all? Godspeed's former passengers aren't alone on this planet. And if they're going to stay, they'll have to fight.
Amy and Elder must race to discover who--or what--else is out there if they are to have any hope of saving their struggling colony and building a future together. They will have to look inward to the very core of what makes them human on this, their most harrowing journey yet. Because if the colony collapses? Then everything they have sacrificed--friends, family, life on Earth--will have been for nothing.

My Thoughts:

I feel like air is stuck in my throat., And I can't breathe. for a while there, I thought I thought...Anyway, This book broke and frustrated the hell out of me. Beth Revis, you and your berserk behaviors, it almost killed me!

Even though the title of the third and last book in this series, Shades of Earth, is pretty far from the star-y theme of the first two namely, Across the Universe and A Million Suns, and I honestly love the first two book covers, which out of comtext but I just liked mentioning it. Anyway, I totally understand the relevance and significant meaning of the title. Moving on to the story: it was an unbelievably action-packed and adrenaline-filled YA scifi. Not to mention full of mystery and more and more of those unknowns. The suspense was always killing me. Series of huge events and scenes silently unravel themselves. It was chaotic. It was perfect!

I knew it when other bloggers said that Shades of Earth was great, they weren't exaggerating. Let me tell you this, from page on until the next 370 pages brought me up and down the grid, like I'm in a sort of yoyo or unending loop of roller coaster ride. In between those, I had to hold myself together for some unforgettable crying sessions. I was serious when I said before that Beth Revis is in some sort of berserk frenzy, it's like she lost controlof the riffle, haha!

BUT! The ending was perfect, there couldn't be any more better ending than that, it's like we're in a gamble here and that was the best that they could ever have. I'm at the absolute mercy of Beth, lol. I still have to thank her for this amay-zing series. Elder and Amy will always be in my bookish heart. Up top, one of my fave series ever! Way to go!

  1. Love this series! I am glad Amy has finally arrived to the planet and we get to see her parents and other "frozens"!!!! Also happy it ends well even if they do have lots more work I do like a happy ending so I'm all good with that. I enjoy the suspense and mystery of the series as well. Can't wait!
