My name is Mia Giannis.I am seventeen years old.I live in Valese, Caberra. This has become my mantra and my lifeline, having recently lost my memory due to a scary natural disaster.Yeah.  I have amnesia.  Messed up, right? You don't know the half of it.Not remembering anything has turned my world upside down. My parents try their hardest to “remind” me of who I was, but it doesn't feel right. Or, if what they're saying is true and that really was me, I'm not sure I like that person very much. And then there’s my love life.  Apparently, Gavin Ariastasis is my oldest and best friend in the world. Also, apparently, we’ve never dated.  But now, noticing him for what feels like the first time, he’s making my heart do somersaults.  He knows me inside and out—the real me.  Plus, he’s sexy and charming as hell.  Sounds perfect, right? But then... there’s the new guy. Quinn McKeyen – tall, gorgeous and deliciously American.  His mischievous grin and slow Midwestern drawl turn my insides to mush in two seconds flat making me question who I really am and what I really want.Seriously. What am I supposed to do with all that?!  I feel torn between them, but I barely even know who I am, let alone what I want.I just hope my indecisive heart will clue me in.  And sooner rather than later…before I lose what little of my mind that I have left.

My Review:

Mia’s Heart was everything I was expecting it to be. Sweet and it gave me lots of tingling butterflies in my stomach sensations. Courtney Cole really knows her way in YA contemporary romance.

The story begins with Mia, and her usual life with her mom badgering her with her lifestyle, especially how she dresses. I like that Mia doesn’t let her peers or any other people hinder her from showing her true self, in that way she was honest. But in the story, a most unlikely event taught her a lesson that she won’t likely forget for forever.

The love story part is kind of major in the story too, but the most major thing is when Mia lost her memories with an amnesia. Yep, pretty big right? But everything fell into place because of that circumstance. The torn between two lovers drama was also unexpected. For Quinn’s part,  I love it when Quinn was given a fair chance in this book. hehe. He might never had ended up with Becca, and Reece’s crush on her never developed, but here, we see that he still deserves that falling in love chance.  The Gavin part was the most shocking of it all. Gavin oh Gavin, how my heart bleed for thee. Sigh.

Anyhoo, what makes me additionally happy is how Mia narrated the story. She was equally funny like Reece. I love how protagonists in Cole’s books have the kind hearts. Yeah they do some mean stuffs at times but their hearts are genuinely good.

The way where the story went was also cool and worth it to read through the end. Though I have to say some parts of the place/setting-Caberra is still a bit obvious that it was made-up. Also, the ending was quite fast. fast. fast. Like crashing a new Maserati down the dead end street. Yes, I’m quoting T.Swift’s song. lol. But other than that, I loved the book. Perfect for an afternoon read for a relaxing day!
