My Thoughts: 

A review I read a few days ago made me decide to finally read What's Left of Me by Kat Zhang. I actually met the author at BEA last June and at first I didn't know she was the author! (she was young after all). Anyway, that's just and added reason to why I'm happy to have an arc of the novel.

Starting the novel, I didn't know what to expect, really. As if two souls in one body is not freaky enough. It was kinda creepy, but I got over it quickly as I got pass the first few pages. Kat Zhang wrote a good, really good novel for her first, and I wouldn't be surprised if the book got high sales when it's finally out in September. 

The premise was promising, the plot was driven and when I was reading, I never felt like the story was going nowhere. Narrating from Eva's perspective, we see a side of a girl trying to live and survive with what she has-a voice. A voice that only her twin soul sister can hear. It was very evocative and moving right from the start. Her voice was so real I can't help but empathize with her. I did not know where the story could lead to, like what could be the end to this story? But I knew there were some escaping involved after the experiments, so that much part of the story was not unexpected for me. But, that doesn't mean it was not insanely thrilling tothe bones, because up til now my adrenaline is surging high.

I'm so so happy I read it, and would recommend it to all dystopian fans, and to allliterary junkies out there. Fans of Divergent series would devour this (I did!) and I can't wait to see where the story will go.
